Fees

Set up your fee system

Currently, fees are not explicitly included onchain, but curators can factor them into the valuation and share price calculation.

Our roadmap includes the following types of fees:

Management Fees​

  • A periodic charge on the assets under management (AUM)
  • Compensates curators for managing the vault
  • Accumulate over time and are collected during the vault's settlement, based on the updated valuation

Performance Fees​

  • Applied exclusively to profits
  • Calculated only when the asset value surpasses the high-water mark (the highest reached price per share)
  • Ensures fees are charged solely on new profits, not on recovered losses

Maximum Fee Limits​

To protect depositors from excessive fees:

  • Maximum Management Fees: 10%
  • Maximum Performance Fees: 50%
  • Maximum Protocol Fees: 30% or 10% of vault’s performance (whichever is higher). Untangled does not currently charge any fees for using the protocol.
